CHICAGO, IL—Independent Publishers Group (IPG) is pleased to announce their partnership with Iobyte Solutions, the leading provider of data and analytics solutions to the publishing industry. IPG began using their MarketView Sales Dashboard as of February 1, 2021, to automate the acquisition, validation, integration, and analysis of the company’s point-of-sale and inventory data from retailers.

“MarketView helps publishers see all of the data that drives their business in one place and provides not just access to that data, but to insightful reports and charts that show them challenges and opportunities as close to real-time as possible,” said Dan Lubart, founder and president of Iobyte. “We are excited to have IPG as our new client and partner and look forward to working with them to make them the premier distributor in the industry.”

Combined with daily data monitoring on retailer websites, MarketView provides IPG an unprecedented view of the publishing business, helping manage inventory, improve marketing efficiency, and spot important sales trends faster than previously possible. Iobyte’s publishing partners include The NPD Group, Abrams Publishing, Chronicle Books, Hachette Book Group, and Hachette UK.

“IPG has always provided cutting-edge analytics to drive market insights,” said IPG CEO Joe Matthews. “Our custom partnership with Iobyte's MarketView solution will take our platform to the next level and is just one of the exciting new initiatives this year to celebrate our 50 years in distribution leadership.”

IPG is additionally rolling out new measures to celebrate their 50th year in book distribution, including the previously announced internal field sales team, the new additions of Fulcrum to Chicago Review Press’s publishing program and Sports Illustrated books to Triumph Books. More announcements throughout the year will be forthcoming and can be found at www.igpbook.com/50th.
