CHICAGO – Independent Publishers Group (IPG) is pleased to announce the addition of five new publishers to its sales and distribution programs.
One Peace Books was founded in 2006 to translate and publish Japanese entertainment and literature for a North American audience. As the brainchild of successful Japanese publisher Sanctuary Books, One Peace Books occupies a unique place in the publishing industry—able to fully leverage connections and industry knowledge to publish Japanese literature in translation. The Rising of the Shield Hero, has sold over 1 million copies in the US alone and over 11 million copies worldwide, and I Hear the Sunspot, was nominated a Best Graphic Novel for Teens by the American Library Association. Sam and Mi publishes children’s books for children ages zero to eight. Their books focus on themes of empathy, problem solving, and communication. When introduced at an early age, they believe these skills can contribute to leading a happy and successful life. Their books are not only warm, sensitive, and fun, but also based on research and trials with children. The stories are built through playful text and supported by beautiful illustrations in order to attract children to the wonderful world of books. Sam and Mi will be distributed worldwide starting the first of August 2025.
Also coming to the IPG catalog in August of this year is Measure Publishing. While new to the market, Measure Publishing has already acquired several high-potential titles. Most notably, they hold the rights to Unfailing Hope by Pope Francis, which has garnered significant attention as it is his final published work. The book has already been released in Italy, Spain, and Latin America, and is now in the final stages of preparation for the English-language edition.

About Independent Publishers Group:
Founded in 1971, IPG was the first organization specifically created for the purpose of marketing titles from independent presses to the book trade. Today, IPG’s wide reach into the book market includes distribution of both print and e-books from a wide array of publishers, digital printing, and traditional publishing. With consistent growth year over year, IPG’s success has come from supporting and encouraging the growth of its publishing partners in the United States and worldwide. IPG was acquired by Chicago Review Press in 1987, and this acquisition formed the parent company Chicago Review Press, Inc., which now owns Chicago-based indie publishers Chicago Review Press and Triumph Books.
