Overview

All aspects of the province’s history, arts, politics, geography, business, and sports are explored in almost 2,000 entries and essays, each written and researched by expert Manitobans. From Cindy Klassen to K-Tel, Lord Selkirk to Louis Riel, Bothwell Cheese to Chip & Pepper. . . anything and everything of importance to Manitobans is celebrated within the encyclopedia's pages.

Reviews

"A monumental achievement. . . not only a considerable contribution to the mind and identity of the province but a strong chapter in the story of Canada itself." — James Marsh, editor Canadian Encyclopedia

"I love the idea of an Encyclopedia of Manitoba! It's much easier to make things up when you've got all the facts in front of you." — Miriam Toews
