El temerario Jack

Overview

This is a modern adaptation of the classic Jack and the Beanstalk story, full of adventures and mystery. One day at a flea market, Jack and his sister Maddy exchange their mother's car for a box of mysterious seeds. It's the best mistake Jack's ever made. What begins as an innocent backyard gardening project soon becomes a wild and magical jungle with onions that scamper around, pumpkins that bite, and a dragon.

Ben Hatke is an artist, screenwriter, and cartoonist. He created the Zita the Spacegirl and Mighty Jack series, as well as a large number of illustrated books that are popular throughout the United States.
