Overview

Cardiff-lover Peter Finch spent the first lockdown walking the edge of the city in which he was confined by the UK government restrictions. He thought he knew Cardiff, but it was a revelation. Here are new discoveries about the Welsh capital’s places and history, drawn from Finch’s walks, knowledge and his personal history, and an exploration of the nature of borders.

Author Biography

Peter Finch is a poet, performer, psychogeographer, and literary entrepreneur living in Cardiff. He has been a publisher, bookseller, event organiser, literary agent, and literary promoter. Until 2011 he was Chief Executive of Literature Wales. Two volumes of Collected Poems are forthcoming in 2022. He is also a prose writer. Edging The Estuary, the story of where Wales becomes England, appeared in 2013. His musical memoir The Roots of Rock From Cardiff To Mississippi And Back was published in 2016. Finch also edits the Seren Real series.
