Author Biography

The American Academy of Pediatrics is an organization of 67,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric surgical specialists dedicated to the health, safety, and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The AAP is the largest pediatric publisher in the world, with a diverse list that includes essential clinical titles and award-winning books for parents. Paul S. Carbone, MD, FAAP is a general pediatrician and associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah. He is a member of the Council on Children with Disabilities Autism Subcommittee of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the parent of a son with autism. Alan I. Rosenblatt, MD, FAAP, is a neurodevelopmental pediatrician in private practice in Chicago, IL. He is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenblatt served on the Autism Expert Panel of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
