Author Biography

Charles Nix is an award-winning book and type designer whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. In 2002, he and editor George Scott founded Scott & Nix, Inc., a publishing firm specializing in nature and science books. He has taught design since 1990 – first at the Cooper Union and then at Parsons School of Design. He served as Chair of the Communication Design Department at Parsons, and as Chair of Communication Design at the Center for Advanced Design in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Type Directors Club. Charles Nix lives in Sunnyside, New York with his wife Michelle and son Nathaniel.
