Originally published in Russian in 1910, this volume is made up of 382 letters of spiritual counsel by the late nineteenth century Optina Elder Hieroschemamonk Anatoly (Zertsalov) to nuns. Anatoly Zertsalov (Author) : Fr. Anatoly was one of the most revered monks and spiritual advisers at the great monastery of Optina in Kaluga Province, south of Moscow, during its heyday in the late ninenteenth century.
