Author Biography

Nathan Jurevicius is a freelance illustrator and artist whose clients have included Comedy Central, Fuji, MTV, Nickelodeon, Scholastic Inc., Subaru, and the Wall Street Journal. Scarygirl is his most popular character so far, and since its creation in 2001 has developed an underground following through its online comic, vinyl toys, designer products, and traveling shows. In 2009 the Scarygirl online game was released. Players have surpassed 1 million and the game has been awarded IGN's "Indie Pick of the Week," Desktop Magazine's Create Award, a FITC 2010 Game award, and a Communication Arts Award of Excellence, and has been shortlisted at the SXSW Interactive Festival. Adaptations for Xbox Live, Playstation Network, and Windows PC were released in 2012. He lives in Toronto.
