Robert D. Kaplan is an editor for The Atlantic and contributes to numerous publications, including the Washington Post, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. As a specialist in the analysis of American foreign policy, he was appointed a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security and has served as a consultant to the United States Army Special Forces.
