Author Biography

Sheila Mansell, PhD, is a practicing psychologist, a consultant for the Sensory-Multihandicap Division of Consulting Services for Edmonton, Alberta, public schools), and specializes in providing legal assessments, therapy, and consulting and training services to people with dual diagnosis. She also serves as a consulting editor with the Journal of Mental Retardation. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta. Dick Sobsey is a professor of educational psychology and director of the J. P. Das Developmental Disabilities Center at the University of Alberta–Admonton. He lives in Admonton, Alberta.
