Overview

Writer and broadcaster Fionnuala O'Connor charts Northern Ireland's path out of conflict, profiling leaders including Gerry Adams, David Trimble, John Hume, and others, including the Reverend Ian Paisley, who've harried and comdemned the "peace process." People in Northern Ireland watch their politicians with amazement and fury, and occasionally with affection and pride. O'Connor portrays these men and women in the context of remarkable times, while the cartoonist Ian Knox catches those profiled as their acts and histories reveal them.
