Overview

Bradford City On This Day revisits all the most magical and memorable moments from the club's rollercoaster past, mixing in a maelstrom of quirky anecdotes and legendary characters to produce an irresistibly dippable Bantams diary - with an entry for every day of the year. From the club's formation in 1903 to the Premier League era, the Valley Parade faithful have witnessed promotions and relegations, triumphs and tragedy, breathtaking Cup runs and FA Cup victory - all featured here. Timeless greats such as Bobby Campbell, David Wetherall and Ces Podd, John Hendrie, Jimmy Speirs and Stuart McCall all loom larger than life. Revisit Boxing Day 1936, Bradford derby day in the club's last season in Division 2 for 48 years. 9th May 1999, when the Bantams won away at Wolves to gain promotion to the Premier League. Or 18th July 1988, when City signed a 23-year-old striker from Wigan: Paul Jewell!
