Reviews

"Her setting is New Orleans and is so accurately portrayed that I feel I can walk the streets of the Quarter, or up St. Charles, and run into one of the many individuals I have come to know …!" ~ A New Orleans Artist "The New Orleans setting is a favorite of mine and Ms. Weis brings it to life. She has a talent for writing descriptions so vividly … I am able to see and smell the French Quarter…" ~ My Book Addiction Book Blogger "Rare is the story that simmers and rises to a boil so naturally and constantly that the reader manages to be repeatedly shocked … a full-speed rollercoaster that doesn't slow down until the final page. Employing an evocative setting, powerfully defined characters, and taking along hard look at the darker side of human desire, this novel will catch your breath and hold it until the very end." ~Michael Radon, US Review (for Death by the River) "… full of intricate characters, voodoo, and a luxurious setting that will steal your breath away. You'll want to follow Magnus and Lexie to Hell and back, and that's stunningly likely." ~Mercedes B. Yardley, Bram Stoker Award-Winning Author of Little Dead Red  (for Damned) "A dark story of passion, revenge, and a Faustian pact ... a guilty-pleasure read that kept me captivated ..." ~New Orleans Magazine (for Blackwell) "… seamlessly blends mystery, magic and matters of the heart to create an enthralling read." ~RT Book Reviews (for Blackwell) "… a writer to watch" ~ Judith Keenan
