Overview

Your child’s first year is unique. They do more things for the first time then than at any other stage in their life: their first smile, first giggle, first unaided steps, first meaningful word. It is a record year for firsts. Thanks to advice from midwives and health visitors, The Kate Greenaway First Year Baby Book is a helpful reference with which you can chart your child’s progress: for example, the first time your baby rolls over (3 to 6 months) or sits unsupported (9 to 18 months).Classically designed and illustrated with an abundance of original watercolours by Kate Greenaway (1846-1901), this book makes an elegant keepsake. The book is pocket-sized so that parents can always have it with them to record those special moments wherever and whenever they happen.

Author Biography

Kate Greenaway (1846-1901) was one of the first illustrators to have her work published in colour. She had a bold watercolour style and her uncanny ability to capture the innocence of childhood won her instant popularity. Her powerful influence can be traced in the work of Beatrix Potter and every year her name is remembered in the award of the Kate Greenaway Medal.
