Jude Daly lives in Kleinmond, South Africa with her husband, writerand illustrator Niki Daly. She is well known for her delicately detailedillustrations. She is the illustrator of Thank You, Jackson; Sivu’s SixWishes; Lila and the Secret of the Rain and The Faraway Island. Judehas received several awards for her work. The Hungry Mind Reviewselected The Dove as one of its Children’s Books of Distinction in 1994. Dianne Stewart is an award-winning author who has published manyhighly acclaimed children’s books and others on African culture, bothlocally and internationally. She has degrees in African languages andliterature, and is well steeped in anthropology, all of which provide anexcellent pool of knowledge for her research into African folklore andmythology. She is the author of Dudu’s Basket, Lyle the Crocodile andThe Dove, among others.
