Overview

For the past 1, 000 years, the forest-dwelling Arboreans have thrived peacefully, insuring their borders through the Elder Council's prowess and the vigilance of their magical Woodguard. The Arboreans preserve their culture by dividing the citizenry, putting those most patient and loving, called "the balanced," into positions of authority, while those deemed "untamed" are simple laborers and tradesfolk. But now a god-like being has come to their world, something alien and terrible, bringing with it geological and atmospheric upheaval, sweeping entire communities from existence. A young untamed named Kai is tasked by the Elders of Arboré with an undertaking that requires the instincts to fight…even to kill. The inexperienced Kai must learn from his mistakes as he leads a motley group of friends against the being the Elders call the Worldweaver, fighting for their lives and everything they hold most dear.

E.V. Morrigan has been writing successfully for years and has numerous published novels and short stories under various pseudonyms, however she has decided to step out from behind the curtain for her current works. She lives at home with her partner-in-crime and alternates between feeding the animals and kids, occasionally managing to find time to write.
