Sports Publisher Triumph Books now distributed by IPG

September 1, 2011

IPG is pleased to announce it will now be distributing titles from Triumph Books, effective September 1, 2011. Says Mitch Rogatz, President and Publisher of Triumph Books, “We are very excited about our new, independent direction—and connecting with our long-time colleagues and friends at IPG. They bring a lot of energy and focus to Triumph in terms of sales potential. This will be the first time Triumph’s books are represented by both gift rep and trade sales rep forces. We believe they can bring tremendous visibility and sales for our titles, especially in the library market and specialty markets.” Triumph Books was previously affiliated with Random House, Inc.

From its inception in 1989, Triumph Books has built and sustained a reputation for quality and innovation in sports publishing. Noted sports figures who have published with Triumph include Dan Marino, Jerome Bettis, Whitey Ford, Brett Favre, Mario Lemieux, Ernie Harwell, Curtis Granderson and many others. This fall, Triumph Books will publish Field of Our Fathers—an illustrated 100th anniversary coffee table commemorative of Fenway Park, with the New England Sports Museum; Take Your Eye Off the Ball by Pat Kirwan, popular analyst for NFL.com and Sirius NFL Radio; Throw Like a Girl by softball sensation Jennie Finch; Dr. Vonda Wright’s Guide to Thrive by Vonda Wright, M.D., a regular contributor to Dr. Oz’s daily television series; MMA’s Mike Straka’s Fighting Words; and legendary Blackhawk Stan Mikita’s Forever a Blackhawk, among other titles.
