IM MCEWEN is a veteran Australian comics creator, having been published since he was a teenager in the 1980s. He’s most well-known for co-creating the multi-award-winning, internationally distributed comic Greener Pastures, which follows the adventures, trials, tribulations, and sometimes the bowel movements, of TrevorBovis—bull-turned-minotaur-turned-social activist-turned-sellout-lawyer.Tim has been nominated three times for the prestigious Australian Cartoonists’ Association Stanley Award for Best Comic Book Artist, and received The Comic Arts Awards of Australia 2018 Platinum Ledger Award DAN LYNCH is a Blue Mountains-based artist who has been working on various Australian and international comic books since 2004. Published work includes Sea Dragon #1 (Cult Fiction Comics Australia), Tides of Hope charity anthology, Retro Sci-fi Tales 2, 5 - 8, 10 - 12 (Dark Oz), The Super Australians (IPI Comics) and Steam-Age Wasteland (Antarctic Press) just to name a few. His latest work can be seen in The Human Fly (IPI), and Bonfire Horror Club (Dark Oz). STEPHEN KOK aka ES KAY is a Ringo-nominated letterer and had an awesome time working on The Dark Detective. He loves talking anything related to lettering as well deep diving into fonts. He is also an award-winning graphic novel creator with his works in over 500+ public libraries across Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, UK and more. PHILIP CORNELL is a lifelong Sherlock Holmes enthusiast. He worked for many years as a commercial illustrator, caricaturist and cartoonist, and has created DVD sleeves, posters, comic strips, book covers and interior illustrations for the Australian market and for international clients. He has also worked as a storyboard artist for TV commercials and a handful of movies. He belongs to Australia’s preeminent Sherlock Holmes society, The Sydney Passengers. DAVE ELSEY is an Academy Award-winning makeup artist, creature designer, and filmmaker whose career has helped define modern fantasy and genre cinema. With more than three decades in the film industry, Elsey has become internationally respected for his groundbreaking work in prosthetic makeup, animatronics, and creature effects, bringing some of cinema’s most memorable characters to life. J. SCHERPENHUIZEN has numerous credits for his work in publishing. He is the author and illustrator of The Time of the Wolves graphic novel, a gritty tale of terror. His short fiction has appeared in a number of publications, including the anthologies, Cthulhu Deep Down Under Volume 2; Sherlock Holmes and Dr Was Not; and Dracula Unfanged. His art has appeared in many works written by frequent collaborator (and sometimes co-creator) Christopher Sequeira, including Mister Blood, The SuperAustralians, and The Human Fly (the last two for IPI comics). W. CHEW ‘CHEWIE’ CHAN. By day, mild mannered Chewie Chan provides storyboards and concept art for such movies like the Academy Award winning Happy Feet, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Superman Returns, and draws such comic books and characters as Iron Man, The Phantom and Cthulhu Tales. But in times of need, he dons his alter ego to become the Comics Consultant! His clients include major movie studios like Warner Bros (Justice League: Mortal), See Pictures (The Little Death), SBS (The Boat), Kinokuniya Bookstores, and he is a much sought after lecturer/analyst. DR. PAUL MASON is an award-winning cartoonist, lecturer, and animation concept designer. Paul writes and illustrates for Frew Publications on The Phantom comic books. He illustrated the all-ages Kid Phantom series, as well as on The Phantom: Treasures of Drakon boardgame. He has also written and illustrated for Gestalt Comics, on titles such as The Eldritch Kid: Bone War, Talgard, and his creator-owned comic Flock.Paul’s story for the 2019 Phantom Annual was the first full-length Phantom story both written and illustrated by an Australian cartoonist.
