Overview

After another body is discovered in the Bogue Falaya River, the list of suspects gets longer. It’s only a matter of time before the authorities descend on the sleepy Louisiana town, asking questions Gage Devereaux doesn’t want answered.

Leslie’s determination to unearth more about the Devereaux family takes her on a strange journey to a remote, troubling place. Derek is by her side, but things aren’t the same between them—another has gotten under her skin.

Author Biography

Alexandrea Weis, RN-CS, PhD, is an award-winning author, advanced practice registered nurse, and wildlife rehabber who was born and raised in the French Quarter. She has taught at major universities and worked as a nurse dealing with victims of sexual assault, abuse, and mental illness in a clinical setting at New Orleans area hospitals. The daughter of a director, Weis grew up on movie sets, such as James Bond. Tennessee Williams was a family friend and the first person to give her writing advice.
