Peepal Tree Press is the home of the best in Caribbean and Black British writing. An independent company, founded in 1986, we publish about 30 titles a year. Our goal is always to publish books that make a difference, and we are strongly committed to keeping them in print. Our list of over 250 titles includes both established names, exciting new voices and many prize-winning titles.

Peepal Tree Press publishes fiction, poetry, literary criticism, memoirs, historical studies and some art and cookery. In 2009 we launched the critically acclaimed Caribbean Modern Classics Series, which restores to print essential fiction, poetry and children’s titles from the 1950s onwards.
