Panelist Bios

Debra Deyan is a 28-year veteran producer of audiobooks and owner of Deyan Audio, the world's largest independent producer of audiobooks. She has won numerous awards including 5 Grammys, 12 Grammy nominations, countless Audies, Odyssey, Carnegie and Earphones awards. She was awarded the Life Time Achievement award from the APA in 2013 for her efforts in helping pioneer the audiobook industry. She owns two Los Angeles recording studios with 9 recording booths. She also owns a video game/interactive toy venture and co-founded an institute which teaches audiobook narration and production.

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too. Christina lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby.

Don Reinbold has been with Follett for 14 years, seven in Sales and seven as Director of Content. With a Master’s in Business Education, he has also taught high school and College. Don is Director of Strategic Business Development and Content Acquisitions

Wendy Miller began her career as the Cherry Valley District Children’s Librarian. Wendy worked with Cicero Public Schools for six years as librarian for PreK through sixth grade. Wendy then moved on to Cary Public Schools as their PreK through sixth grade Learning Center Director for three years. She has been with Follett Library Resources for almost 16 years specializing in PreK through sixth grade materials which includes selecting titles for TitleEZ, maintaining and updating Elementary and PreK opening day collection cores as well as being responsible for posting lists on Titlewave. Wendy creates lists for the eNewsletter, catalogs, as well as customer specific requests.

Susan Maguire is the Senior Editor for Collection Management and Library Outreach for Booklist, where she wields her dozen years of public librarianship like a boss.

Rohini Bokka is the Technical Services Manager at Naperville Public Library. She oversees the materials budget, collection development, acquisitions, cataloging and processing for all materials.

Michelle Halket is an unusual composite of bibliophile and technophile and is Publisher of Central Avenue in Vancouver BC, releasing 10 titles per year in fiction and poetry.

Award-winning author and founder of the publishing company, Cardinal Rule Press, Maria Dismondy inspires and educates others in the book industry. Her background in early education and research enables her to touch lives the world over while touring as a public speaker in schools, community forums, and at national conferences.

Teresa Kirschbraun is the owner of City Lit Books. She opened City Lit 5 ½ years ago in the Logan Square neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. She has relied heavily on her prior experience in management consulting and lifelong passion for books to help build an amazing community business.
