Overview

In May of 1588, while European plans are being discussed indoors, 30,000 men set sail from Lisbon to make history. Stories of queens with no empires, tortured missionaries, shipwrecks, fugitives, and many others are portrayed by Captain Francisco and his king. Centuries later, Miguel Silvestre explores what really happened to these anonymous heroes, with his ironic and critical humor.

Miquel Silvestre is the author of numerous books, including La dama ciega, Dinamo Estrellada, Mariposas en el cuarto oscuro, and Spanya SA.He is also the editor of the magazine Colegio de Registradores and a lawyer who regularly contributes articles to Cinco Días, El Diario de La Ley, El Economista, Expansión, La Gaceta de los Negocios, and El País.
