Iskanchi Press is a US-based publishing house for African writing. Our mission is to offer African perspectives of the world to readers interested in unique and authentic narratives. Our books detail the lived and imagined experiences that sustain the African world views and feature diverse works of fiction, non-fiction, and children’s literature written in English or in translation.

Our mission is to combat the negative and stereotypical single-story of Africa, satisfy reader’s interest in the new, foreign, and authentic, and to serve the needs of African immigrants and People of Color interested in seeing a more nuanced representation of themselves and their stories in the world.
