IPG Adds Five Publishers to Trade and Digital Distribution Programs

November 9, 2021

CHICAGO, IL—Independent Publishers Group (IPG) has added five new publishers to its trade and digital distribution divisions.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to represent such excellence in independent book publishing,” said Alex Kampmann, vice president of business development and general manager for Midpoint and IPG Digital. “I look forward to supporting the growth and success of these publishing programs through our dynamic sales, marketing, and distribution solutions.”

Histria Books, whose distribution with Midpoint will begin on July 1, 2022, was originally established in 1997 as an academic publishing house and now publishes general interest books, fiction and literature, and children’s books, as well as scholarly books in broad range of categories. Histria Books imprints include Vita Histria, publishing academic titles; Vita Histria Center for Romanian Studies; Histria Kids; Gaudium, publishing contemporary lifestyle and culture books; and Addison & Highsmith, publishing adult fiction.

“As a dynamic, growing independent publisher, we realized the importance of finding the right distribution partner to better serve our authors and our team,” said Dr. Kurt Brackob, director of Histria Books. “We carefully analyzed all the available options and, after much due diligence, we came to the conclusion that Independent Publishers Group (IPG) was the perfect fit for our company. Their professionalism and personalized service are second to none. Histria Books is delighted to join the IPG family and we look forward to growing together in the coming years.”

Shanghai Press, which began its distribution with Midpoint on July 1, 2021, publishes children's books and non-fiction titles that span a wide range of subjects, including art, history, spirituality and self-help, gardening, and health.

Midpoint will also begin distributing CS Media on January 1, 2022. The Florida-based non-fiction publisher, founded by Cathy and Andy Sanders, produces how-to books on publishing, writing, ministry, and worship leading.

CamCat Publishing, whose distribution with Midpoint will begin on June 1, 2022, is an independent publisher focused on bringing quality genre fiction and non-fiction titles to market across audio, digital, and print.

IPG Digital will begin distributing Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group on December 1, 2021. The Portland-based comic book and graphic novel publisher's award-winning line of licensed and original titles include Adult Swim's Rick and Morty, Nickelodeon's Invader ZIM, Scott Pilgrim, Queen & Country, Courtney Crumrin, Wasteland, The Sixth Gun, Stumptown, and Letter 44.
