The modern-day survival bible from former Special Forces soldier and number one bestselling author Ollie Ollerton.

Do you know how to thrive—not just survive? Could you build a fire, administer critical first aid, or stay alive in the wilderness? How would you fend off a wild animal, cope with extreme weather, survive societal collapse, or navigate urban warfare?

In How to Survive (Almost) Anything, former Special Forces soldier Ollie Ollerton shares the specialist skills, hard-won knowledge, and resilient mindset developed over a lifetime spent in some of the world’s toughest and most hostile environments. From surviving dangerous encounters as a child, to serving in elite Special Forces units, to mountaineering in the ice-capped Himalayas, Ollerton draws on real-world experience at every turn.

This essential guide teaches you how to sharpen your instincts, strengthen your mental resilience, and master practical survival skills—equipping you with the tools and confidence to face whatever comes next.

Author Biography

Matthew 'Ollie' Ollerton is a Sunday Times no. 1 bestselling author and a former Special Forces soldier, who was one of the founding Directing Staff on Channel 4's hit show SAS: Who Dares Wins and SAS Australia. Ollie's military career began at the age of 18 when he joined the Royal Marine Commandos and toured operationally in Northern Ireland and in Iraq for Operation Desert Storm. He subsequently spent six years in the Special Boat Service rising to team leader, before working in Iraq as a private security contractor and carrying out anti-child-trafficking charity work in Southeast Asia. These experiences helped shape his life as well as his books. Ollie is the founder of Breakpoint, the business he runs as part of his mission to help others create more productive, healthier, and happier lives. He furthers this passion through his writing and his online, virtual and public appearances.
