Author Biography

Justin Paton is a New Zealand writer, art critic and curator, currently based in Sydney, Australia. He is curator of international art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the author of many art catalogues. His book How to Look at a Painting was adapted into a 12-episode television series by TVNZ. Justin Paton is the curator of contemporary art at Dunedin Public Art Gallery and the winner of the 2006 Montana New Zealand Book Award.
