HERMANN PRESS is the newly incorporated US branch of the French publishing house, Éditions Hermann, founded in 1876. Based in New York City, HERMANN PRESS will publish nonfiction books in every field of knowledge/research, from exact sciences (such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine), to human sciences (philosophy, social sciences, psychoanalysis, literary criticism, musicology), to the fine arts (literature, art history, music and dance). Hermann Press will consist of 2 imprints: one academic (Hermann Academic Press) and one trade (Hermann Editions) – both dedicated to promoting original ideas, innovative thoughts, and knowledge.
