Overview
Some people fantasize about happily ever after. Turns out the "after" to define my story is the afterlife. A teenage Guardian Angel's work is never done.
My name is Grace Reyes Cardiff. I was seventeen when my mom and I died in a car crash. Don't waste your time grieving for me; I've already done that and I'm trying to move forward because Heaven gave me a big to-do list.
See, once I made it past the Pearly Gates and got the basic questions out of the way (What's the deal with Stonehenge? Is my dead dog here?) I learned that I'm part of a small percentage of people with a soul qualified to serve as a Guardian Angel.
Now I'm being sent back to Earth to protect a boy named Henry Sun who has the potential to positively and significantly impact humankind. Which means I have to harness my magical angel powers and natural spunk to thwart the dangers of life and demons who try to foil angels when they're not taking laps in lakes of fire. That's all while fixing my relationship with my mother, not getting distracted by the Liberian dreamboat in my angel training class, and seeing if I can be friends with the one demon down there who doesn't seem like he belongs.
It's funny—I thought Heaven would be all about rainbows, cake, and puppies. I didn't think it would involve a massive identity crisis and going back to high school.Reviews
