Grid Books

Grid Books is a nonprofit publisher of poetry, fiction, and fine art editions foregrounding creative work that springs from the margins, whether those margins are dictated by history, market forces, social trends, or issues of access. We publish a variety of perspectives expressed across genres, in print and digital formats, with a special focus on projects generated through intergenerational exchange, such as those encompassing oral history and collaborations between students and their teachers.

For more than two decades our imprint, Off the Grid Press, has highlighted the work of poets over sixty, helping to overcome a bias in publishing that favors the output of younger writers. We are proud of our longstanding reputation for balancing an interest in publishing great literature with our sincere appreciation for the variety of lived experience that comes with age and practice with a craft.
