Even though a lake and a volcano guard the eternal calmness of the city of Los Almendros, the fog seems to facilitate the unheard. Leónidas Parajón, who hears the voices of the dead, falls in love with a young woman who collects porcelain angels. The power of this obsession brings him to ask what a man should do besides always dressing in a black suit. It leads him to stalk and steal a real angel, one that lives in Los Almendros.
