IPG sold its first eBook in 2001. Since then we have actively contributed to the transformation of the eBook from fad to industry fundamental. Our active participation in the digital movement means that we—and our client publishers—have kept pace with the unprecedented rate of change in the industry. Hundreds of small and medium-size publishers now benefit irom IPG's knowledge of the digital marketplace. Digital sales now make up an important part of total publisher revenue.
In 2016, IPG acquired INscribe Digital, a leading digital publishing services company. INscribe’s more than 65,000 eBook titles has cemented IPG as one of the largest eBook aggregators in the industry.
IPG has a close relationship with all major eBook vendors, ensuring that client publishers can capture the full sales potential of the Apple, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Sony e-reader devices and stores, among others. IPG also works with more than 100 eBook affiliates and re-sellers, ensuring that client publishers have maximum exposure to the digital marketplace in the United States and around the world.
IPG ensures that all client publishers have access to a host of print, online, and social media marketing initiatives to promote the sale of their digital editions. Moreover, we act on an insight that is as true today as it was 10 years ago: In most cases, the successful sale of a digital title is tied to effective promotion of the print edition of that title. IPG's core competency in physical book distribution means that our client publishers get the best of both worlds.

As eBooks have grown in sophistication and popularity, a variety of eBook formats have become available for purchase. Among the newer formats is the Fixed-Layout EPUB, a type of eBook first introduced by Apple for use with the iPad and iPhone and available through the Apple iBookstore.
Fixed-Layout EPUBs are used for eBooks where the relationship between text and image is extremely important—namely textbooks, cookbooks, children’s books, and graphic novels. This format allows eBook developers to better relate the ebook’s text to its images (for example, to associate a picture of eggs with a recipe for scrambled eggs), as opposed to what is possible with the standard EPUB format.
Unfortunately, Fixed-Layout EPUBs are not yet supported by Adobe Digital Editions, the software that provides Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection to the majority of eBooks for sale on this website. In cases where a publisher has elected to protect their Fixed-Layout EPUB titles using DRM, this restriction will prevent the purchase of the EPUB format from this website.
However, such eBooks are available for purchase on Apple iBooks, The B&N Nook Book Store, and the Kobo eBooks store, along with many other popular eBook retailers in the United States and around the world.
