Chesapeake Press publishes kidlit about the inner workings of Washington. Established in 2020 in the middle of an election year and the pandemic, we saw the need for materials that introduce basic civics principles to elementary school students. We believe it’s never too early to practice citizenship.
We publish The Fina Mendoza Mysteries series of books, podcast episodes, and Teacher’s Guides. Upcoming titles include citizenship nonfiction and a picture book about democracy.
