Acapella Publishing was founded in 1994 by Robert Harley to publish his title The Complete Guide to High-End Audio. Now in a fourth edition, The Complete Guide to High-End Audio has sold more than 100,000 copies in four languages. It is widely considered the reference on the subject of high-performance audio systems.

Acapella Publishing also publishes Introductory Guide to High-Performance Audio Systems, also by Robert Harley. The Introductory Guide is a less technical, more accessible work aimed at newcomers to high-quality audio systems. In addition to being the sole proprietor of Acapella Publishing, Robert Harley is Editor-in-Chief of The Absolute Sound magazine, the world’s most respected journal of high-end audio.
