Overview

In the case of Miguel Veyrat, poetry is, above all, "words in time." Time is the consciousness of the flow of life, that can sometimes serve as a temporary escape. A person incapable of being genuine, therefore, may feel anxious about it. However, time also marks the indomitable instance of limits of worldly poets, who become possessed by the anxiety of ending up with nothing, being placed in a poem.

Miguel Veyrat has published thirty books, fifteen of which are poetry. He also works as a diplomatic correspondent to conflict zones around the world.
