La realidad begins with a portrait of the writer Bret Easton Ellis who is addicted to the game Angry Birds and ends with the return of Juan-Cantavella on the day of his trip to Chiapas when he was twenty. Between the two chronicles we find very personal profiles and myths like Curtis Garland or Javier Krahe; sightings of Martians, hackers, and phenomena such as Quinqui, Mariano Rajoy or Carlos Boyero; or shadows of literary monsters like Hunter S. Thompson and David Foster Wallace. A book that is unlike any other.
