Erich Hackl is an Austrian writer, translator, and professor. He studied Germanic and Hispanic philology at the Universities of Salzburg, Salamanca, and Malaga. He has translated numerous Spanish-language authors into German and his books include Adiós a Sidonie, La boda en Auschwitz, and Esbozo de un amor a primera vista.
