Overview
A student accused of burning down the library at his university in Noruega escapes to Aysen in the southern-most part of Chile to send letters of heartbreak to his girlfriend. While there, he writes video game guides for destroying make-believe towns. He also attempts to find out whether or not a couple can escape devastation through literary dialogue. Can an ecological novel serve as a love letter and political review? This novel explores possible relationships with love, support, and damage between two people. With its thoughtful prose, the book suggests that the best literature always stems from foreign, vast, and unsuspecting territories.Author Biography
