In this work, Jan Assmann asks to what degree monotheism has been the main instigator of countless situations of violence and persecution of "other religions" who have ravaged coexistence of European populations. Jan Assmann is a German professor of Egyptology. His research areas include religious studies, cultural theory, and Egyptian religion and literature. He is the author of Moisés el egipcio, Egipto and La distinción mosaica, among other books.
