Overview

“An uplifting, eye-filling adventure encouraging children to realize their innate creativity and individuality.” Kirkus Reviews. YOU BE YOU tells the story of a young girl on a journey of self-discovery to paint the great canvas of her life. The blank canvas towers over the girl, so big, imposing and impossibly white; surely, it is the most unnerving place to start! Along her journey, she is challenged by her mentor, Old Master Paint, a sorcerer in a cloak of swirling colors and by her own demons. It's a lyrical, empowering story about learning to believe in yourself, brought to life by extraordinary illustrations from award-winning illustrator, Rogério Coelho. Deluxe edition. Ages 5-8.
