It's a personal journey in which a woman takes on the world to save it.

Author Biography

In 2006, Edinburgh-born D.D. Johnston quit working at a Manchester coach station to chase the dream of becoming a writer. One scrap of the dream existed - the start of a story inspired by derelict council housing in Hulme. Two novels pushed it to one side. The first, Peace, Love & Petrol Bombs, a 2011 book of the year in The Sunday Herald, has been recorded as an audio book and translated into Spanish. The second, The Deconstruction of Professor Thrub, was a 2013 book of the year in The Morning Star, where it was described as 'determinedly extraordinary'. With the publication of this third novel, D.D. Johnston finally tells the story that started it all – the story of The Secret Baby Room.
