Overview

Jessie's soccer teammate Kayla is such a talented player that she's invited to be the mascot at an International soccer tournament in Brazil! But then an anonymous letter arrives insisting she doesn't deserve to have the honor. Who is trying to ruin Kayla's reputation? The Boxcar Children must find out!

Author Biography

Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. Encouraged by its success, she went on to write eighteen more stories about the Alden Children.
