Overview

Sweet & Bizarre is a way of describing works of art from the Lowbrow movement, otherwise known as Pop Surrealism. The Lowbrow movement arose in 1979, led by artist Robert Williams after various art analysts struggled with categorizing his works. Many artists are now associated with this concept, including Mark Ryden, Nicoletta Ceccoli, Gary Baseman, Takashi Murakami, Xue Wang, Sara Sanz, and others.
