Special Orders Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to: DC Manager
Employment Status: Full time

Overview

The Special Orders Supervisor is ultimately responsible for their entire area, making sure that any requirements or goals placed upon their departments are accomplished in a timely manner. In addition to being responsible for the daily oversight of the DC employees and to ensure compliance with all company policies, company procedures, supervisors will also be responsible for the following.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Determining needed staffing levels on a daily basis
  • Properly training workers to be able to perform at high levels
  • Overseeing daily work of employees including performance management
  • Alerting DC manager to personnel, equipment and process issues, (i.e. any need for more staff, different equipment or changes in process of work.
  • Ensuring equipment is used safely and efficiently.
  • Initiating process improvements for your area.
  • Reporting area progress on a bi-daily basis to the DC manager.
  • Completion of specific tasks pertaining to needs within your area. (i.e. communicating with the office with any issues, dropping orders, completing all SharePoint tasks on time, ect.)
  • Special Orders handles all orders with particular instructions and specifications. This includes all shipments with labeling instructions, special routing instructions, attachments, trade show shipments and alike.
Qualifications
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable with patience and professionalism.
  • Working knowledge of IRMS or any type of WMS software.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Computer skills (Excel, Work and Outlook)
  • Share Point
  • Crystal Reports

Internal Candidate: Three years as a full time employee with IPG, 1 year experience as a coordinator.

External candidate: 5+ years of warehouse experience, 1 year of supervisor experience, working knowledge of RF scanners, and experience in WMS programs.
