Overview

Pediatrician-designed for developing babies, this eye-catching title is a great addition to a first library

"We share a book. What does it do? Hold it, pat it - taste it, too!" Reading with children early and often, starting as soon as possible after they're born, has many proven health benefits. At first, it may seem hard to do. Do they understand? What's the best way? The first STEP is to SHARE: S - Snuggle! H- Hands On! A- Affection (show lots)! R - Respond (Think STEP: Stretch, Talk, Explore, Patience)! E - Enjoy! Developed by a pediatrician, the research-backed SHARE STEP method helps babies and their grownups get the most out of every reading opportunity, beginning at birth. Simple text and high-contrast illustrations, perfect for developing eyes and brains, show how it works. Share this book—and many more—to build a love of reading to last a lifetime!
