Overview
Presented in full color, this guide presents ideas and techniques to inspire quilting parties for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, fundraisers, and just for fun. Starting with a photo cut into squares, these squares are passed out at the party, enlarged, and then copied onto fabric. Once completed, the finished blocks are assembled into a fun and funky quilt. These versatile parties can be held in one day or over a period of months, with examples of projects completed both ways provided here. The guide is organized into two color-coded sections—one with instructions for the director of the party and one with instructions for the participants. Also included are step-by-step instructions for organizing a group, gathering supplies, techniques, and easy finishing methods.Author Biography
