Overview
This book is intended as an introduction to the philosophy of science in a wide sense. It is particularly aimed at bachelor and master's students at various levels, who need an overview of the different ways of thinking about, understanding and explaining their target field. The book underlines the fact that science and methodology belong together, but that different methods can be employed across the dividing lines in the philosophy of science. Both the methods used to collect materials and the choice of materials are selected on the basis of how the material will be used, what we want to know about and the specific empirical data with which we are working.Author Biography
