Author Biography
Yreina Flores is a Mexican American artist who has been designing & creating her original papel picado since 2008, when she started her business— Ay Mujer! She has a BFA in Photography from Art Center College of Design. She is thrilled to join her love of learning, papel picado, & photography in her first children’s book. Amber Heffner is a speech and language pathologist and mother of a toddler. She fell in love with papel picado while on a work trip to Mexico in 2002.
