Author Biography
Federico García Lorca was a Spanish poet, playwright, and prose writer. He belonged to the so-called generation of '27, the most influential poetry group in Spanish literature of the 20th century. In 1920 a theater debuted his work El maleficio de la mariposa and in 1921 he published a book of poems. He socialized with artists of his generation, including Buñuel and Dalí. Following an anonymous complaint, he was arrested and shot.
