Overview

Classics from some of world literature's most renowned authors are meticulously translated for young adult readers in this series of quality hardcovers. Each title includes vibrant illustrations and a full-color section about the author, the work, and the time period in which it was penned. Life in rural St. Petersburg, a tiny town on the banks of the Mississippi, is so placid it might almost be considered boring. But Tom Sawyer—a curious and mischievous boy—is perfectly capable of making an adventure out of tasks as mundane as painting a fence or decidedly non-commonplace activities such as chasing a murderer or looking for hidden treasure with his inseparable friend Huck Finn.
